Really the purpose of these books, the blog, and the website is to share God’s glory and story with people, and in doing so, hopefully encourage fellow believers while also helping non-believers come to a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal savior. I would be remiss if I didn’t at least take a stab at laying out the basics of how to become a Christian, even though I’m a beginner too. I don’t mean to make it sound like there is a recipe or procedure. We all come to God in our own way as He pursues us his individual children.
However, if you are really interested in becoming a Christian, I would encourage you to read Timothy Keller’s The Reason for God (Penguin/Random House 2008). He answers the questions most people have in a very logical, clear way and gets you connected to the Bible, which if you believe, is the Word of God.
For a more immediate one-page introduction/invitation I love this web page. It nails it.

Boiled down, there are two steps:
Follow up by looking for a Bible-based church to get into community with fellow believers. In the meantime, pray for me. I’ll pray for you! And check out the resources on this site. As well as our blog!
